A Very Merry Chase Regency Romance Novel Six Sentence Sunday Fun

     "Now Northrup," she said in a voice that brooked no argument as she thumbed the hammer back with practiced ease, "the time has come for you to pay the piper."
     "Sabrina, put the bloody thing down. It might go off."
    "You damned well better believe it might go off," she said in a calmly authoritative voiceending any doubts he had about her ability to handle firearms. "This is your only warning, make any move towards me—give me the slightest excuse to fire, and fire I will. And at this range, please note, I could not help but blow your head off—not, mind you that I would have the slightest qualm about doing so.
